The Ocola Skipper (Panoquina ocola) is an immigrant species which visits New Jersey from the south annually. From above they are mostly plain brown but have a few bold white spots on the forewing, one of which looks like a wide crescent. The wing shape on this species makes them pretty easy to pick out with only Salt Marsh Skippers being similar.
