The Juniper Hairstreak (Callophrys gryneus) is a beautiful tiny green butterfly with white and brown striping on the underside forewing and hindwing, a frosted blue and white hindwing edge with black and orange details, and small tails sticking out the back of the hindwings. The white bands only have brown on the inner portion as opposed to the similar Hessel’s Hairstreak which has brown on both sides.
