The Hobomok Skipper (Poanes hobomok) is a small light brown grass skipper with very bold yellow patches on the ventral side hindwing and forewing. These are outlined in dark brown with the outer portion of the wings sometimes having light colored frosting. From above, they are mostly yellow with fairly bold, dark wing veins, dark brown thick wing borders, and light tan fringe.
