The Coral Hairstreak (Satyrium titus) is a small brownish gray hairstreak usually found in open meadows. They key feature on this species is the row of bright orange spots on the edge of the hindwing which have a bit of black and white outlining. There are also black dots encircled with white on both wings and a small blue mark hear the hindwing edge. I often find these hairstreaks swirling in chase as they compete for territory, or defending their perch from other pollinators.
