The Aaron’s Skipper (Poanes aaroni) is an uncommon reddish-brown grass skipper with plain ventral-side hindwings exhibiting noticeable wing veins and a subtle light stripe along the center, and orange at the inner portion of the forewing. They remind me of a smaller version of Broad-Winged Skipper and can be tricky to id without size comparisons. They are usually found in or near marshes but will travel to nearby nectar sources.
